The 2025 Winner was:

Traditional Garden Growers
Traditional Garden Growers “Our project began with a challenge facing the British wool industry: vast amounts of low-grade wool hold little to no value, leaving a persistent headache over what to do with surplus unsaleable fleeces. At Tradition Garden Growers, we set out to change this through focused research and development with the University of Reading, proving that waste wool can be transformed into something practical and valuable. The result is Wooltiliser, a pellet made on our farm in England using only natural British materials. It releases nutrients slowly, improves soil structure, and locks in moisture, giving gardeners a sustainable alternative to chemical fertilisers.”
The two runners up were:

Wool Innovation International Group Ltd
“Wool Innovation International Group Ltd specialise in wool tree guards for the forestry, horticultural, and commercial industries. As a sustainable alternative to plastics, wool is 100% natural, biodegradable, and offers excellent insulation. Our products reduce labour, eliminate the need for plastic guards, repel deer from young trees and saplings, and provide natural flame resistance which can slow down forest fires, supporting greener, more sustainable development.”

Oxford Biopigments
“Our pioneering knitting yarn brand combines colourfast, mordant-free, plant-based dyes with 100% British wool. For generations, natural dyes have been dismissed as unreliable and lacking the performance required for modern textiles. Our World-first technology changes that story. Oxford Biopigments has developed a new class of plant-derived dyes that deliver bold, durable colour without the pollution, heavy metals, or petrochemicals of conventional processes.”
